Today we are heading to Yumenoshima Tropical Botanical Garden.
I took a member who had never seen cacao.
It was my first dream island tropical botanical garden, but the moment I entered it, the tropical climate was stuffy!
I enjoyed going around while listening to the voice guidance.
There were one or two cacao trees, and there were more than 10 cacao fruits from bottom to top. But the size is smaller than the cacao in Oita Ecuador ...?
I felt it was 2 to 3 times smaller than the local cacao.
If you grow up in the wilderness, the growing environment will be completely different if you grow up in a tropical botanical garden, so the way the fruit grows will be different! It is a valuable place where you can see the actual cacao trees and fruits, so I would like everyone to visit! Until the 25th of this week, there is also an exhibition space about cacao sponsored by Mr. Meiji.
(Since there was a panel, for the time being ...)
But after all, the strength, or the vitality, was completely different, so by going to the tropical botanical garden, I was able to feel the strength of the natural vitality of the Amazon again.
I would like to go to the farm in April or May this year.
